Punta Gorda Airport traffic up 167 percent.
The Charlotte County Airport Authority announced today that there was a 167 percent increase in passenger traffic for the month of February 2014 compared to February 2013. The February 2014 total is the single biggest month in airport history.
There were 26,872 boarding passengers and 29,129 arriving passengers for a total of 56,001 passengers at the Punta Gorda Airport this February, compared to 20,939 passengers in February of 2013.
“With the additional flights that Allegiant has added to its schedule,” said CCAA Executive Director Gary Quill, “we continue to see passenger growth to Southwest Florida through Punta Gorda.”
