National Margarita Day: Where to Celebrate in Punta Gorda, Florida

Margarita Day Celebrates Margaritas (Of Course)

In honor of National Margarita Day, we’re here to give you the five best Punta Gorda bars (in our humble opinion) at which to indulge in a margarita.

Here they are!

TT’s (The Tiki) Bar

This waterfront Punta Gorda bar is right on Charlotte Harbor next to the Charlotte Harbor Event & Conference Center. They have happy hour all day long, and beach chairs in the sand around the Tiki Bar. Watching the cars coming over the twin bridges over Charlotte Harbor, in addition to watching a Punta Gorda sunset, makes this small Punta Gorda bar a hidden gem. Patsy and Paulie have even made a visit to the popular Punta Gorda bar!

Dean’s South of the Border

This Punta Gorda bar has been around for over 20 years. It’s truly a classic. The drinks are priced well, and the bartenders are friendly. They will definitely make you a good margarita, along with pretty much any other drink you could want. Our sister company, Sandstar Remodeling, recently gave this Punta Gorda bar a facelift, restoring it with Southwest Cantina artchitecture.

The Wyvern Rooftop

This Punta Gorda bar is 6 stories above every other bar in town. That’s because this bar is on the Punta Gorda Wyvern Hotel’s rooftop, which offers breathtaking views of downtown Punta Gorda, as well as killer Punta Gorda sunset views. Below is a picture that we took of a Punta Gorda sunset from the Wyvern Rooftop.

Harpoon Harry’s

This Punta Gorda bar on Charlotte Harbor has a fun atmosphere and attentive bartenders. Harpoon Harry’s features 3 bars, of which the main bar and Tiki bar are our favorite. You can watch Punta Gorda sunsets and the boats on Charlotte Harbor from both of these bars. Try to get Jeff or Anita; they’ll be good to you!

Your Punta Gorda Home

Let’s face it, sometimes there’s nothing better than making a homemade margarita and drinking it from the comfort of your own lanai. It’s quiet, you can wear whatever you want, and you don’t have to tip yourself unless you want to. If you’re still looking for your Punta Gorda home, check out Punta Gorda homes for sale on the Five Star Realty website.
