Harbor Happening, Charlotte Harbor – November 17, 2012

Punta Gorda Event Celebrating 50th Anniversary of Punta Gorda Isles Civic Association!

This past Saturday, November 17, 2012, the Punta Gorda Isles Civic Association celebrated their 50th anniversary by hosting a “Harbor Happening,” a Punta Gorda event that organized all the boating clubs around Punta Gorda and Punta Gorda Isles to moor their boats in Charlotte Harbor for an exclusive aerial photograph of the harbor. The Punta Gorda Isles Civic Association was aiming to have 300 boats in Charlotte Harbor for the photograph. As of yet, we do not have any numbers as to how many people actually participated. The weather was slightly chilly for Punta Gorda residents, but hopefully clear enough for the helicopter to get a few great shots of beautiful Charlotte Harbor. We will post the aerial photo just as soon as we get access to it; we can’t wait to see it!

For now, you can check out a few shots and a video that our broker Cathy Sanders shot while she participated by being in the aerial photograph of Charlotte Harbor.

Did you see the boats moored in Charlotte Harbor as you drove over the US 41 bridge on Saturday, or did you participate in the Harbor Happening? Tell us about it in the comments below!
