Charlotte County Elementary & Middle Schools Earn A or B Rating

Every Charlotte County Elementary and Middle School Earns an A or B Grade

New Florida school grades were recently released, based mainly on FCAT 2.0 results. One hundred percent of Charlotte County elementary and middle schools received an A or B grade. In comparison, 79% of Lee County elementary and middle schools received an A or B rating, and only 56% of Collier County elementary and middle schools received an A or B. The Herald Tribune has a link to Data Mine, a Florida school grades app that you can use to search the past three years of Florida school grades.

A unique feature of the Charlotte County school district is the School Choice / Student Reassignment policy. Parents can apply for their children to transfer to a different school than the one that they have been assigned to. The Charlotte County school district also features Charlotte Virtual School, an online school option for students and parents who find this way of learning more convenient for their lifestyle. Charlotte County schools also offer a number of after school programs, including Boys and Girls Clubs of Charlotte County and also YMCA Afterschool sites.
