Calusa Queen Eco Tours & Excursions – A Personal Review
Family Owned Punta Gorda Sightseeing Cruise Company
On select evenings during the summer, Calusa Queen Eco Tours & Excursions offers sunset cruises out of Burnt Store Marina. I had the privilege of going on one with my boyfriend this past Saturday evening. Calusa Queen’s headman Captain Will and his First Mate Lisa were warm and welcoming, and as the cruise went on, Captain Will’s knowledge of Charlotte Harbor became apparent, as well as his appropriately dry sense of humor. The sunset cruise is BYOB if you wish; you are also allowed to bring a small cooler. We had a completely relaxing time cruising around Burnt Store Marina looking for manatees, which were elusive that evening. When we got out on Charlotte Harbor, the clouds from the earlier had begun to take on a orange glow from the setting sun. We were able to get several beautiful photos of the sunset, and First Mate Lisa even offered to take a picture of us! This is a great early evening date; we did not indulge, but you can have dinner prior to the cruise at the Porto Bello restaurant directly in front of where the Calusa Queen casts off.
Calusa Queen Eco Tours & Excursions also offers a variety of other cruises, and private cruises for your party of 10 or more. Visit the Calusa Queen Eco Tours & Excursions website for more information about booking your cruise!
