16. Charlotte Symphony Orchestra’s “Tiz the Season”


Sunday, December 19th at 7:30 p.m. at the Charlotte Harbor Event and Conference Center, the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra will present “Tiz the Season” with vocalist Ida Zecco. New Englander Ida Zecco will get listeners acquainted with lesser-known Christmas songs.


17. Gallery Walk


The third Thursday of every month the Punta Gorda Downtown Merchant Association host an evening of music, art, and tastings in historic downtown Punta Gorda, and December is no different. December 16th is the third Thursday and from 5-8 p.m. there is sure to be another great gallery walk made complete with holiday decorations throughout downtown Punta Gorda.


18. Arthritis Foundation’s Jingle Bell Run/Walk for Arthritis


If you are looking to celebrate the holiday season this year by giving, the Punta Gorda Jingle Bell Run/Walk for Arthritis is Friday, December 3rd at 7:00 p.m. You can wear a holiday themed costume and walk or run the 5 kilometer route with your team to help fight arthritis. Day of Event Registration is from 5:00 PM to 6:45 PM


19. Deck the Hulls – 10th Annual Saturday Night Before Christmas Eve Boat Parade

On December 18th, the 10th Annual Saturday Night Before Christmas Eve Boat Parade, also known as the Rim Canal Parade, will set sail. This free celebration will include boats of all shapes and sizes decorated with holiday fun. View the parade route to select a great spot for viewing.


20. Christmas Dinner at the Cultural Center

Enjoy Christmas dinner with friends at the Cultural Center of Charlotte County on December 25th. With two seatings (12 p.m. and 2 p.m.) and a bountiful buffet this is sure to be a great meal for $15 (or $16 at the door).
