25 Things to do in Punta Gorda this Holiday Season – Part 3
The Punta Gorda Garden Club will be hosting the 17th Annual Holly Days Home Tour – “An Elegant Christmas.” On December 3rd and 4th from 12 to 5 p.m. The tour includes four historic homes and a church decorated in the holiday spirit with an assortment of natural materials including both fresh and dried flowers. Tickets are $10 and the proceeds will be used to fund scholarships and community projects.
The 20th Annual Symphony of Trees includes a display of decorated trees, wreaths, and centerpieces at the Cultural Center of Charlotte County. The exhibit is open Monday through Friday, from 9:00am to 5:00pm; Saturday & Sunday, from 9:00am to 3:00pm through December 11th. The display items will then be available for bid with all proceeds going to the Charlotte County Museum Society and the Non-Profit Organization donating the item.
13. White Christmas
December 3rd through the 11th, Charlotte County Players presents White Christmas – a holiday musical based on the book by David Ives and Paul Blake. Performances begin at 7:30 p.m. and tickets are available from Charlotte Players.
14. 32nd Annual Christmas Parade
On December 4th at noon, Charlotte County Chamber of Commerce’s 32nd Annual Christmas Parade will make its way through Punta Gorda from Taylor Street to Charlotte High School. The theme for this year’s parade is “All I Want for Christmas is…”
15. Deck the Halls with Boughs of Oldies
Deck the Halls with Boughs of Oldies will be held at the Cultural Center of Charlotte County on December 7th at 7 p.m. The event will feature timeless music from the 40s through the 70s. Tickets are $10 and are available at both the Cultural Center and the Animal Welfare League.
